Do you remember that lineart with Yoshi, Toad and Mario I did some days ago? Well, here it is at last! = D

My very first fan art of New Super Mario Bros. Wii and also the very first time I draw Toad. w00t! Second time I draw Mario and God knows how many times I drew Yoshi before. The difference this time is that I made him more accurate to the games but still keeping the oldschool look. Oh! It's also the first time I draw saliva. D: It was... Fun. Weird. o~o Didn't came out so bad as I expected, actually.

Oh boy, I'm proud of how this turned out! ^^ Mostly by the background! I tried to make it the most similar as the BG in the game as I could. I could have made it even more similar, but I thought it'd be better to keep my originality. ("Creativity, Use Yours!") I drew Mario mostly from mind but I needed a ref for his legs. Same for Toad because I never drew him before. As for Yoshi... This guy is stuck in my mind for ages. I thankfully don't need refs for him.

Btw... Mario is so fun to draw! 8D

Okay, so I promised I would explain this when finished, right? Alright, promise is a promise. Here we go!

A few weeks ago a great awesome friend of mine sent me New Super Mario Bros. Wii through the postal service and I started playing on the same day. o3o Many of the new features that surprised me on this game is the fact that you must to go back on some levels to rescue Toad (as if questing for Princess Peach wasn't enough) and to do that you must to carry him to the goal by the end of the level. But, in the levels where you ride Yoshi, the only way to do that is if Yoshi carries Toad in his mouth. When they cross the goal flag, Yoshi spits out Toad and the level is finished.

In the first time I played a level with Yoshi and Toad and crossed the goal, this image painted in my mind. I'm sure Toad does not enjoy to be rescued like that. I know I would hate it. So I had this idea while Mario and Toad were waving good bye to Yoshi. Too bad I took so long to finish this. =\

Okay, now tell me what you think about this. I'd like to hear some feedback after such hard work to make everything. o3o
