So, as I've mentioned in the last journal [link] I want to make a special contest and launched a poll yesterday asking if people are interested. The number of votes were very few but they voted on what wish they would vote on.

Before I say the contest is a go I need people to participate on it so let me explain in some more details what I want it to be...

Very basically, you need to draw the best Charizard as you can. The only difference on this contest lies on the requirements to participate, or rather... receive the prize. You see... because I want to award the winner with the shiny Charmander I got, the participants need to have a gen.4 Pokémon game and be able to connect their DS/3DS to the internet so I can give them the prize Pokémon through Friend Code trading. Because I don't have Pokémon Black/White 1/2 yet, I am limited to trading between gen 4 games only, such as Pokémon Platinum and SoulSilver, for example. My concern is that not many people play these anymore. For that I fear about no one will participate if I launch the contest and because of that I am here asking: Will you join the contest and draw a Charizard for the prize of a shiny Charmander?

My original plans are to have only one winner. After all, it's a shiny Pokémon we are talking about here. They are hard to get and even more it being a starter. Do you have any idea how long it took me to get it? Anyway... that's the original plan. If; and I say... IF I get a reasonable amount of people participating in the competition, maybe I put prizes for second and maybe third places too. Recently I've found a shiny Tangela and Fearow which with my shiny Pidgeot could make up for 2nd and 3rd prizes. Say, I could add Pidgeot or Fearow for 2nd, for example, and Tangela for 3rd.

All of these shinies are 100% legitimate Pokémons. Pidgeot, Charmander and Fearow did originate in an emulated Pokémon game (FireRed and LeafGreen) but I did not used absolutely no sort of cheating or anything. They came naturally in the wild. Except for Charmander, which I, on purpose, tried to get by starting a new game over and over again on LeafGreen. That took me ages, I tell you. -_- Tangela was found on my SoulSilver game on my 3DS. Pictures of all of them can be found here [link] and there's also this little video I could film of me getting the shiny Charmander. [link] On the description I explain how I could film the moment and stuff.

Deliver the prize(s) would be simple: We would just need to trade Friend Codes and naturally, be online at the same time, which shouldn't be much of a trouble, at all. Not if we plan a common time. If the winner prefer, a GTS trade can be used instead, but I highly recommend not. Talking about a shiny, it wouldn't be safe as for absolutely anybody could take it before the winner. That wouldn't be nice, now, would it? Yeah, it wouldn't.

Charmander is at level 8, earned from the first battle with the rival and the trip to Viridian City to get Oak's Parcel then back to Pallet then back to Viridian again. This shiny Charmander originated in Pokémon LeafGreen and was transferred over to Pokémon HeartGold on DesMUme via Pal Park. From there I transferred to my SoulSilver game (running on my 3DS) via GTS. Basically, I traded with myself.

I won't ask for any Pokémon in particular from the winner in order for them to have the prize. Any puny random will do just so I can give them Charmander, but if it happens that whoever wins owns a Gligar or Mantine, then I'll probably ask for one of these. No biggie if you have Pokémon HeartGold. You would get your prize and I would get one of two version exclusives I am still missing.

So to finish I will ask once more...

Will you join the contest and draw a Charizard for the prize of a shiny Charmander? If you do, then PLEASE comment here saying that you will. It is very important that I know it beforehand.
